Janet, our office manager, has been a member of the Three Village Community all her life. She schedules appointments, ensures that the office runs smoothly, and is here to handle all of your insurance and financial needs.
Our hygienists are experienced in general, periodontal and pediatric dentistry. They treat our patients in a very caring and professional manner.
Sherry, our main dental assistant, makes every patient's dental experience the most positive it can be. Either by holding their hand or making them laugh, more often than not, she will do both!
A professional dental cleaning can help ensure that you keep your smile bright and healthy.
Keeping our teeth their whitest is a lot harder than it sounds. Coffee, wine, smoking and certain foods have the ability to stain our teeth on a daily basis.
Even proper maintenance sometimes leaves them lacking luster. Teeth whitening is an excellent way to brighten your smile.
Veneers are a great way to redesign and reshape your teeth.
Veneers are a very thin ceramic shell that covers your existing tooth structure. In placing veneers on your teeth you are able to repair issues such as staining, cracks, spacing, misalignment and chipped teeth.
Endodontics deals with nerves of the teeth. When a tooth becomes infected it is usually related to the nerves inside the root of the tooth.
The infected nerves are gently removed. If left untreated an infection can turn in to an abscess, which is a more serous problem.
Extractions are a fairly common procedure.
In our office it is considered a last resort. An extraction would be performed when a tooth is considered hopeless or not restorable.
The other reason would be the extraction of wisdom teeth. In this case the extraction would be done if there were problems with the proper eruption of the tooth causing pain to the patient.
Implants act as anchors in the bone which allow a restoration to be attached to them. The restoration may be a single crown, bridge or removable appliance.
Dental bridges are a great way to replace missing teeth.
Your existing teeth are used to create a bridge to cross over the area where the missing tooth was located.
Bridges are made from gold, metal, alloys, or porcelain to ensure that they are strong and durable.
Over time our teeth begin to weaken and become more susceptible to such problems such as decay, fracture or discoloration.
In some cases a filling or bonding isn't sufficient to repair a tooth. That is when a crown could be recommended to restore.
Dentures are a way of replacing missing teeth. There are three kinds of dentures:
A full denture is used when all teeth are missing on either or both arches.
A partial denture is worn while there is still a few natural teeth remaining on an arch.
An over denture is used when all natural teeth have been removed and 2 to 4 implants were placed. The over denture then locks down into the implants.
Many improvements have been developed recently in this area of dentistry and these dentures are more cosmetically appealing for a much improved appearance.
